Head Bolt Replacement

Do I need to replace the head bolts when doing the head gaskets. The block has studs on one side and bolts on the other.

Torque specs will be different, otherwise I see no problem with that. Bolts 85 ft-lbs, studs 65 ft-lbs. GB
 
If they are the factory installed "torque to yield" head bolts, those are a one time use and need to be replaced. ARP offers a very good replacement for head bolts.
 
While Audiowizard makes a good point, torque to yield bolts were not used on our earlier engines. GB
 
Even thou they did not use the torque to yield bolts on the early cars, I would still replace the bolts. JMHO
