I went to the opening night and in the basement to my surprise, there was a100 mile GNX.

I noticed an error in the document that states that the Grand National was first introduced in 1984!

Most people around the car were talking about their friend that had the same car. Yeah right! These people do not know the difference between a GN and a GNX. It's great to have a love, passion and educated interest in these Turbo Buicks! I am only thankful to God that I educated myself a long time ago about the history of these legendary cars.

Nicola Bulgari: Watchmaker and Incurable Buick Fan

A bit of color commentary on the owner:

Besides manufacturing fine and mega-expensive jewelry and, of course, the 'Bvlgari' watches, Nicola Bulgari's first love is American Rolling Iron, and particularly Buicks. In fact, his collection is comprised almost exclusively of our marque. From the '10's and '20's right up through the '40's, the Roadmasters and, yes, GNX #221.

Fortunately, the AACA was privy to a private tour of part of his collection about 2 years ago, and his GNX was on display at the relatively new Hershey, PA headquarters at the lobby entrance on one of their two turntables.

Here is a guy who could have absolutely anything he wants in terms of cars, and yet he just can't get enough of those Buicks. Plus he's a very down to earth guy-- his door was always open and he has been quite hospitable to the AACA and others of us involved in the hobby.
