Who owns GNX #431 looks like someone copied old listing, bogus.
Sorry could not attach link?

This guy is cute! The add was pulled, I mailed him and called his bluff this is what he replied,

Hello there,
Thank you for your interest in my 1987 Buick Grand National.
I closed the auction earlier because one person offered me the buy it now price but in this moment his loan was not approved so the car is still available for sell.
I need cash immediately to buy a new house next week so i am selling the car at a very very good price.

The car is at the shipping company sealed with all the paperworks and the clear title, ready to be delivered.

Now i am located in Olympia, WA as i am here from this week.I have some medical problems with my son and i am here at a hospital.

The price I want to obtain for it is $ 20,000 US .
The car is like new with clear title, completely working, perfect running condition, with no hidden damages or accidents,it has always been garage kept.
You will receive the car with all the necessary papers(clear title, bill of sale, user’s manual, insurance etc).
The transaction will be done through eBay for your own protection. Your funds will be 100% insured by eBay and I will be sure that I will receive the payment, this way bouth of us will start the deal with good faith so we can take it to a smooth end. After the payment is cleared and confirmed by eBay i will ship you the car in no time. You will have 10 days from the time you receive the car to inspect it and decide if you want to keep the car or not.Once the car arrives if you find it different then i describe it you will be refunded by eBay and you wont loose anything. If you are interested in buying it please email me your FULL NAME and ADDRESS also your eBay USER ID so I can initiate the deal through eBay.

Thanks
Paul Thomas

That was pulled quick, probably reported to ebay, way to call his bluff, I guess people actually fall for this crap?

About 9 months ago on e-bay this guy tried the same thingt; I believe it was an Okalahoma purchase. Same words, same delivery, same e-bay comments were used and another GNX picture folder from one of the cars that were being sold out of Florida around that time. I challenged him on it, back and forth with a few e-mails, and I let him know I thought it was a scam. All correspondence stopped. I'll try to find my correspondence and post.

I found my e-mail trail... from March/07

I am interested in the vehicle do you have pictures of the car? I will be in OKC early in April I could have a look at it then. What is the GNX number of the car? do you have the serial number? You said your not near the car so a picture of the options sticker in the trunk is not available...?

What price are you looking at? Is the car clear and free of Leans?

Thanks for your help
jim

I found it in the Los Angeles Craigs list and it got my blood pumping for sure.
The first thing I did was email him to ask for photos and RPO. I will see what comes back. The second thing I did was come here to see if there was anyone listing a GNX #431....At least he knew enough not to call it GNX #548:biggrin:

This same fool tried selling a 02 SS Camaro on Craiglist for some crazy price. I played him till he got tired of typing and stopped replying to my e-mails.

Im trying to mess with him now, he says the car is overseas but he will pay the shipping. Im going to try to get him to send me a photo of him (not the car) maybe holding a sign that says I will pay for shipping for GNX #431. I will let him know he must do this before I will Release the Funds.

Same guy but had one of the prettiest 1957 Chevy's you have ever seen, 2 door hardtop, Full custom, A/C 502 with a pro charger, Had to let it go cheap, Word for word what he said in this add I looked at his store and man he had 57 Vette, 57 TBird and on and on, He has been on ebay for a long time, I just wonder how many people has lost hard earned money to this jerk while ebay sets around with there heads up their a++es

Well sent them a email, The mint 57 Chevy 502 pro charged was $9,000, I don't know what he wanted for his mint 57 fuel injected Vette and his mint 57 T-Bird or his GT500 and so on

$20,000 huh? Where do I sign?

At least if they're going to try and scam someone, they should at least do a little research beforehand.

The price is going up now. He is on craigslist in boston for 28k. I happened to see it and this was the first place I checked to see if it was legit or not.

Chris

why do they ask for your name and address?

I have run across these types of scam ads a few times lately as my car search resumes and they always ask for you FULL name and address? What could they be doing with this info?
