GN Dipstick Length

Greetings and I apologize for the silly question!

I just had my tranny overhauled and the shop guy told me that my dipstick was not the original (too long). But, I don't remember ever changing it.

It's just over 29 1/2 inches from the tip to the top of the stick part.

I know it's a silly request, but can someone please measure their stock tranny dipstick for me?

From the top of the tube to the full line, measures 28 3/8". From the top of the tube to the end of the stick, measures 30 1/4.

The part # on the stick is 25525580.

This is on an 86. Hope it helps.

The stick part is definitely 29 5/8" in length.

Can anyone with a stock 87 GN confirm please?
