Gauging price on a complete TA49 needing a rebuild

What would be a fair price to pay for a complete TA49 turbo unit needing a rebuild? Complete to include turbine, compressor, and inlet bell. Thanks for the input here guys!

Depends on the turbo. I bought one that needed everything but the compressor housing. $450 bucks to rebuild it from precision

For a TA49 that needs all that it would cost a lot to fix it. The only really useful part you will have based on what your saying is the ex housing. The backplate is a bastard part if it uses the dynamic thrust and is about $100, the compressor housing needs to be recontoured $60, turbine $195 (Garrett) or about $110 aftermarket replacement, bearing housing $75, compressor wheel $110 (Garrett) or $60 aftermarket, re-balance $40, rebuild parts about $100 not including hardware.

Thanks guys. I have a core unit that I used until it started smoking and it has known side shaft play. I was trying to determine what I could sell the core for as to a monetary value. $150- $175??
