Fuel Pump for 800+ Wheel HP E-85

I'm not a big fan of Aeromotive pumps on boosted applications. The flow chart I saw showed 600#@70psi which would work out to just over 800 FLYWHEEL hp on E85. Not enough for 800 rwhp. If you need to run 30 psi of boost or 80 psi of fuel pressure, you're under 700 rwhp.

Which Aeromotive? I'm running a Pro-Series with 39psi base pressure. With 24lbs of boost it made 800rwhp w/ 160lb injectors. And there is still quite a bit of I.D. on the table. I've run this Pro-Series now for two years on the street with no voltage controller, either. Granted, the car is just a weekend toy and I wouldn't want to drive it across the country like this, but for a 30-40 mile drive it has proven reliable thus far.

Once you reach 600 rwhp, I would start thinking about swapping to a -8 line. I'm not saying you can't go faster, I just would start getting nervous. We went 8's on stock line and gasoline with Scott Bolek's car, but I would NEVER recommend anyone try that.

As for which Weldon pump, it depends on your hp goals.
The 2015 flows 100gph@70psi and should be good for around 650hp on E-85 @14 volts
The 2025 flows 145gph@70psi and should be good for around 950hp on E-85 @14 volts
The 2035 flows 180gph@70 psi and should do over 1200hp on E-85 @14 volts
The 2345 flows 210gph@70psi and should support 1350hp on E-85 @14 volts
If your running a 16 volt sytem in your car, add another 20%

Board member "StreetT" runs low 8's on E-85 with the 2345 and higher voltage

I am not trying to be a salesman for Weldon. I realize the cost and how loud the pump is are issues that will deter some people from going that route. I have heard of high hp cars running triple intank pumps with Hobbs switches, but that makes me nervous.

The poster asked about an Eliminator pump. Even if fuel flow drops off at higher pressure, the Pro-Series should be plenty for 800 rwhp on E-85. That pump should be capable of over 1200 rwhp on E-85
