Fixed warp instrument dash panel

Finally got around to fix dash panel. Foam is warped and separated from the dash. I used Dap original contact cement (safe for foam) and a straight piece of wood. Apply cement to both surfaces and allow cement to set for 15-20 minutes before putting two sides together. Put the flat wood on warp area and evenly clamp down. I let it set for 24hrs. So far seems pretty straight and solid, time will tell.

Good tip - This type of clamping works well.

I used it on the larger dash panel itself with another brand of adhesive safe for foam. The repaired upper area of padded dash had been separating from the substructure along the edge valley that the upper dash speaker panel nests in. You can make use of narrow scraps of Formica instead of wood also as it will bend to fit contours ... up to a point. Also spring clamps (metal or plastic) of various sizes are available in the cheapo bins at the BIGbox Hardware Home Center. Or in my case from my wife's quilting room.
