Just bought the .40 caliber but the sale price ended this past Saturday. Reg price $319.99. I'll get to the range soon and report back.

I know one of my issue and soon will yours also is the take down catch. Being close to the frame, it's sometimes difficult to hold back the slide and at the same time try to push down both take down catch taps to remove the slide from the frame. After searching I found Galloway Precision supply this take down catch plate replacement. I ordered one from Amazon for $15.00 S&H is free and funny how Galloway sells them for $12.00+S&H $6.95=$18.95.

Installation is very easy and now I can use one hand to remove the slide away from the frame.
If you do (and I know you will get one) let know what you think.

lol If I ever get it back from my son... he took it to oil it and install a trigger kit.

That's funny, now that it's formed to his hand, you might have to get another for yourself.

He is really into the Glock's and has a few of those, I'm sure after he goes to the range I'll get it back. :) In the meantime I have my .357's lol

This gun has a good ergonomics feel in your hand , but this time it will be a 40mm

By far the very best trigger i have ever seen in stock form!! If you decide to go with a .40, i would recommend to stay with 165 grain instead of 180. As far as the recoil goes it feels like the 9mm with a little kick!!

Thanks for the info, but why not use the 180 gr. for the PPQ M2 40?
If by any chance if you decide to get another hand gun, try the S&W SD9EV 9mm or the 40. The grip also has a good ergonomics feel in your hand, and according to one of the Sheriff I know, using 147 gr. for the 9mm is almost like the 40, as the minimum grain.for 40 is 155 gr.

This was posted on the walther forum http://greent.com/40Page/ammo/40/180gr.htm. Not sure how accurate it is but does make some sense. As me me i use 115 grain on the 9mm and 165 grain 90% of the time on the .40
