Exhaust questions and advice

Going to replace the stock exhaust on my 87 gn already have the down pipe installed with no cat. I'm looking at tr customs 3" cat back system. What if any are the benefits of a new exhaust versus the stock system. Any thing I should be watching for after install. Boost or any others things I'm not thinking of Thanks in advance

you should witness a bit quicker spool for sure. The less restriction the better
