i bought the TA62 turbo and i was wondering if i can put it in with the stock converter? and no trans work at all???
i was wondering cause im trying to get my project done this summer...
thanks

Definitely....Just send ahead whenever you want the turbo to spool ;)

Seriously, most of the people here would say it needs more converter than stock for quick/acceptable spooling. :)

If I remember corectly the min, stall is 3000. The basically means thats the lowest stall they recomend to use with the turbo. Optimum would be 3200-3400.
It will work but there will be a big delay from when you step on the gas and when the car starts really making power.
Also when that turbo starts kicking it's gonna beat the hell out of your stock tranny. It probably won't last long.

I ran my TE-61 for awhile with the stock converter. It was slow to spool but felt great on the big end (no track times). Chris at CK recommended a 3400 stall for mine. It is perfect now. You will be happier with a higher stall.
