Breaking in a new motor.

I combed over this thread but I don't see what lifters are being used.



X2... perhaps the lifters in this motor aren't fully "skirted" all the way down to the roller, allowing the lifter bore oil feeds to be exposed when the lifters are up? Never had this problem myself but read about it here...

Got a little confused. I think you were making reference to my post about the 2000 mile break in period. That's what my engine builder suggested and he is a reputable builder, he's built a few 109s and a few stage motors. Anyway, comps break in oil was used and the filter was pulled and analyzed and nothing was found. Now it has VR1 20W50 and this spring I'll change the oil again, I'll take the filter to Dave Roland and let him cut and analysis it. Dave drove my car and he laid into a few times, because he told me be careful because of the power.
