Hi guys-

Any interest in the following?

There haven't been many changes and or much innovation in the A/C department for our cars. However, we are currently in the process of developing Compressor Manifold Hose Assemblies out of Steel Braides Hose.

These assemblies will be an exact replica of the original, thereby making it a bolt-on piece. If you are looking to dress-up your engine bay as well as replace that old rubber hose assembly, this might be of interest to you.

Also, please let me know what you think, as I am looking for opinions and gauging interest. I know price will be a major issue...

Please expect it to be somewhere around $150 or so...
No, they're not cheap, but the new AC Delco hoses are getting very hard to get, and are around $100 for a new OEM hose.

I truly think this will be a great alternative for the Turbo Buick world!
Here are some pics of what I am talking about:
Keep in mind that the pictures below are not of the hose assembly for our cars, and are solely being provided as examples.

I will need at least ten (15) orders to make production. Keep in mind that the more orders we get, the lower the price will be.

Please e-mail me or reply with your comments, and if you'd be interested!

Thank you,
Brett

One more thing: I realize it's not the "Season" for Auto Airconditioning. However, if we are to make this work, I will have to get production going soon, in order to have them around March.

There is about a 60 day lead time for these to be designed and produced.

Thanks again,
Brett

is there anyway , we can see a pic with them installed ?? please

other than that, im in, i want it

Right now, we are in the design stage...

There will be a few sets made just to make sure that they are going to fit properly. This will probably take close to a month before they are ready. At that point I will be able to provide pictures of these hoses on a car.

I am going to estimate that we can have these ready around the first of March, so it will be a little while before we can get any good source of media out on these.

HTH, and Let me know!

Brett

Very sweet. Have you thought about anodizing the piping black to give a closer to stock look? Perhaps black braiding for a complete blackout look. Either way I would like a set. I have a new in the box set of GM hoses. The metal is not black and I'm not sure if I want to go to the trouble of prepping for paint.

$?

Brett,

$150 for the hose set or each hose? I want to be sure I understand. Are there any other advantages to these braided lines other than availability? Durability? Better cooling?

I need the AC in our 87 revamped (again) and I may be contacting you later in the spring. I aparently blew a gasket late last fall after replacing them all and recharging. I agree with the all black look also. Keeps closer to the stock appearing approach. ;)

Also, If you need a GN to model them for you, I would be happy to oblige  . I live right up the road in Stsbo. Feel free to email me directly.

The price of $150 is an approximate price for the set...compressor manifold assembly.
Honestly, they could be a little more, and they could be a little less. It depends on the quantity that we order as well as the final production costs.

As of this moment, they haven't been produced, so I can't give you an exact selling price, just an approximation based upon what the manufacturers are telling me.

These hoses will not offer any better cooling as they really don't affect the cooling ability of the vehicle. They will however offer better durability and look great!

Keep em coming!

That's right. The other lines are hard (non-flexible) metal. I was thinking there was one more flex line.

Ok, count me in. It would be a good time to revamp the ac anyway.

I would still prefer the all black. What are the chances?

As of this moment, black is not an option.

I did speak with the manufacturers about it, but as it's not something they typically do, it would be a special order, situation in which to justify the manufacturing and ordering costs, we would have to order at least fifty (50) hose assemblies of that specific color!

If this turns into a very large group purchase, I'll work on geting them in black as well, but at the moment, don't plan on it.

Thanks again,
Brett

Those look awesome, but i would be more concerned about that added moisture under hood since the have no rubber on them..

Brett,

Just curious to know what's happening with these?

The weather is starting to get wonderful, but soon will be hot.
I'll need the AC fixed up for that.

Let me know.
