Talked to a BPG member yesterday, and the question was what would it take to get a car count together for their race like what we had a BG.
The payouts from this year, which were pretty good, are carrying over to 2014.
What does everyone think?

Steve, there is a post on here from GBsean saying the BPG will be a Friday and Saturday with a built in roll over day of Sunday if it rains either day.

The BPG 2014 Event will again be held at National Trail Raceway in Hebron Ohio August 1st-2nd. The Host Hotel will be the Newark Metropolitan the rate is $109 a night and includes breakfast.They should have a promo code for booking in the next few days. They will have an expanded breakfast menu for 2014. The Hotel will again be arranging to block off the street on Thursday and Friday night and will provide the BBQ again. Ted Nagels Band will again be playing Friday night. We are also talking to Hotel about a trip to the Longaberger Basket Factory for those that do not want to be at the track all day. National Trail was again picked as the Host due to economics of hosting an Event. For those that do not visit our FB page I had reached out to other tracks in and out of Ohio and they were 7-10K more than NTR and the Hotel selection for offsite activities such as a Band and BBQ would not have been possible. NTR Management is also reaching out to other Local Ohio clubs to have them attend out Event. This will be a first for the BPG sort of the Buicks vs. the World. We will still run our regular race program but also hope to have some grudge races. NTR is also willing to plan a cruise on Saturday before the judging of Car Show to the local lake. We also plan on having a Rain date of Sunday built into the contract if we have a rain out on Saturday or Friday. I will post more details as they become available. yes BPG event will have a built in rain date of Sunday if Friday or Saturday is called...To clarify our major sponsor who put up $9800 towards payouts was refunded as per his request...less the > BCO:> Winner: 650.00> R/U: 250.00 and the BPG issued a refund. The only other payout was The Finshline Furious Four: Winner takes all: $3000 CASH! of which Finishline put up $1000 and the BPG put up $2000. On another note I know you turbo guys do not like to bracket race but look at the Q-16 times Quick 16 qualifiers after 3 runs on Friday:

If it had not rained Saturday there would of been another round of qualifying...something to think about besides the Turbo classes...and if you lose in q-16 you can drop to the bracket classes which would of paid Bracket 1:> Winner: 700.00> R/U: 300.00

All these payouts would of been CASH not gift certs or merchandise...

just a FYI the BPG also called event early...arranged for Hotel to not charge for Saturday night cancellations and and gave cash refunds for those that wanted and will honor 2013 tickets for 2014...this was all posted early of the BPG fb page and website...and stayed at track till 2pm to make sure there was someone there to answer questions and offer refunds...

appreciate that...as you all know the BPG listens and tries to make event better...
