Bad wheel hop even when doing a burnout last time at track, and terrible 60fts no matter what I try on launch.
Im going to check that all bolts and such are tight back there, but I have been curious about the pinion snubber for sometime now, ever since reading a thread awhile ago about bouncing off the poly snubber. TurboDave, If I were to just take it out and try to launch without it, do I need to put the stock one back in?
You can put the stock one back in if you like, just as a safety item. If you look at it when it's installed, there's NO WAY the differential is going to come in contact with it during normal conditions or even racing. The only time I could see the diff. coming in contact with the original piece is if the car were SEVERELY over loaded.
Besides, the axle snubbers out on the axle ends should preclude any metal to metal contact if the rear squats THAT badly.
