Hi All,

Alternator took a crap. Local rebuilder said he has a stator for 200amp and he can rebuild it at 200amp. Any issues going to 200amp? A friend told me that I might have issues if the alternator doesn't have the right internals. Any help much appreciated.

The main question is why do you need 200 amps? Big stereo system? Auxiliary off road lights? etc?

200 amp is a little much, id stick to 120-140amps & also in the upper 13's to 14's range in voltage output.

That's what he had in stock. I ended up getting it. He put bigger bearings and all new internals. Let's see what happens. Thx guys.
