Hello everybody, I've been posting here for over a year now and was a lurker before that and I also post over on the other turbo boards and I'd like to introduce myself. Now I bet a lot you have read some of my threads and replies to threads and have thought who is this guy? My name is Eric Fisher, I used to live in the Omaha Nebraska area but now call Orlando home. My official job title is GM parts specialist. Basically I specialize in wholesale parts for all GM vehicles. I have been doing this for 25 years now. Well enough about me let me tell you about my car. The 86 GN in my signature is the number one car in my small fleet of noteworthy cars. I have owned it since 87 when I bought it with 6000 miles on it. I have been modifing and improving it since the day I drove it home. Its best ET to date is only a 11.80 but I think this is outstanding since it only has a TA49 with a stock IC,blue tops,205/205 cam port matched heads and a 3" DP with ATR single exhaust. My main interest is autocrossing. At one time this was my only car so I had to make due with it. My first G-body was a 78 ElCamino that I bought brand new so I guess I was a G-body expert since day one. Back in the early days(the 80's) there was no such thing as Hotchkiss suspensions and Baer brakes so everything I did was a first or one off. I successfully competed with my GN in SCCA sanctioned events across the midwest from 87 up til 2000. I even won my regions championship a few years in a row in its street tire class. My only claim to fame though was when I took my GN the the Solo2 Nationals in 1997. I believe I am the only person to run this event in a G-body. Unfortunetly, due to a bad ground I didn't do to good and ended up in last place. Yes thats right, I used my 15 minutes of fame to give a black eye to the turbo Buick community. I have considered trying the do the Nationals again but its just to darn expensive for me and my old school GN. Maybe someday. Here is a link to an article from the GSCA GSXtra from 1999. You'll have to rotate it and zoom in as this is my first attempt to do a pdf file in acrobat. http://www.msnusers.com/turbofish38/documents.msnw
This is the way my car was set up in the 90's and I haven't really done to much to it since I came down here to Florida. As you can see its really is old school in its truest form.I also would like to think I am the first to install the aluminum support and F-body radiator since I did this back in the early 90's long before sites like this showed up. I'm currently working on a real bolt on junkyard 12-13" disc brake set up that I'm hoping anybody can do for under $600. Its been coming along very slowly as it takes a back burner until I get my 455 Regal screwed together(another story on its way in the future) and I promised myself I was going to get one of the Rivs back into street fighter trim(say adios Impalla SS and rice boys). Thank you for taking the time to read this thread and if you bump into me somewhere just mention you know me from tb.com and I'll know you read this.

Thanks for letting us know about ya Eric. Sounds like you've had alot of fun with your GN and kicked a little butt too. Awesome.:D

Thank you guys, Yes I was bored. Just trying to figure out how to do some things. Hey does the link work? I just tried it from a different DT and it seems my webshots page is not logged in. One more thing to figure out how to use. If you couldn't tell by now I am quite computer illiterate. Any other comments or suggestions? I was thinking of hitting rick@gmhtp up for a job and I could use any help I can get.
