140 amp alt.conversion

hey guys im new on here. I like to mingle with all the b bodies. we are all family. I recently put the 140amp on my car. I put a 50ohm resistor on the pigtail.I read somewhere that you have to do that. the problem is that the alternator is not charging. need help!!

i put mine on backwards on accident and it wouldn't charge, try flipping it around.
