No I don't think so, it is only active when the transmission is shifted manually to 1st gear. As soon as you bump it out of 1st it releases and everything shifts like normal. I have driven a car with stagerite and didn't like the fact that when you "bump" it out of 1st you never know for sure...

Installing a new transmission shift cable, and I noticed that the grommet that is screwed to the floorpan is brittle and cracked, does anybody know where to get a new one??

Does anybody know if these trans coolers are still available anywhere? I just like the fact that they have screw on fittings!!! If they aren't available is there a kit out there that has the screw on fittings?

I think factory was a 28 spline.

Dang, go it figured out, aftermarket starter all the wires go on the left stud, right stud has short starter wire on it! Argggggg, thanks for all the help!

Update: Checked my starter wiring, I have the double wire fusible link and Battery power wire on the left starter stud looking from behind, and the single fusible link on the right stud. Fusible links are all good. I checked continuity and found that the single wire on the right stud goes to...
