First ever alum GN rims. pics.

I'm scared of being the 17" guinea pig... worried that they will be too flat looking, but I may just be being paranoid.

Same here, I'm ready to make the purchase, but really scared. I may just decide to be the guinea pig though pending some overtime.

I can tell you that I most likely will be doing it though. So I hope to make the purchase sometime in January/February.

Great job from Budnick...the wheels did turn out very nice..but have to say i am probably the only one that would choose the Stockers over the new..Even with new technology, i think GM did a great job in the 80's that still holds its own over the Bubnicks..especially love how the Stockers have the deep centers where the center cap is,if Budnick could just go deeper there i might like

But the way the stock center cap fastens is JUNK!

So has anyone pulled the trigger on the 17's yet? I am getting close to the funds to make this happen.

The last email I got from Sheila Budnik indicated that they had made a few sets and she was going to get a pic for me mounted on a car. I'm going to probably go ahead and pull the trigger pretty soon. I dont see a better alternative than this and everyone has ARTT, and I just got's ta be different.

They are absolutely Stunning!!! Everyone keeps asking what correct backspacing for 17's and will work on a stock suspension with no mods. I havent seen a reply for that yet.

Looks like 17x8 with a 4" BS front and 17x9.5 with a 4.5" BS. Is this correct?

If so, I'll be getting a set for the Limited  I'd like to see them tucked under some GNX fender flares

[/RIGHT]2699904]me likey if the car can look like that in real:cool:

Don't see why it wouldn't. I just took his real pic of the 15s and made them a tad larger.
I would assume, if my adjustments are about correct, it would look exactly like that. I may have to be the first to do this. I have to wait until my bonus is March though :frown:

With the Simmons wheels possibly coming back into production though, it's a tough decision. And it seems for about the same price I could grab a gorgeous set of CCWs also. It's a tough call. All those wheels look great!

I love they way these look, but the the cost being close to ccw's its a no brainer. CCWs are a 3 piece wheels so if you want to change b/s or hit a curb you do not need to buy another wheel. It would be nice if we could get a set of 17's for 1,500 but that doesn't look like its going to happen. I just am not a fan of the cookie cutter american racing wheels out there either.

I absolutely understand, but when there is a company who goes to bat for this small community to step up and make a wheel very close to orig., that's a huge thing. Every one in every car community is going to complain about wheel cost, but how many wheel companies are stepping up and making a wheel for such a small section of the whole "pie"? Like I said, there are other awesome wheel choices out there for "us", but who is making a stock looking wheel???? Not One, besides these fellas!! If I could pay 2g for an entire set?? I would absolutely love that! I'd call tomorrow and put a down payment, but that's unlikely and the cost to even replicate this wheel is more than that ten fold, but someone stepped up!

Fact is, it's not going to be cheap, but finally someone stepped up and made something very close to original which all the cats here have been dreaming about forever and when it comes down to it...three people will buy the wheels. TB people are cheap...fact!!! Everyone is!!!

One other thing: if you have a three piece wheel and hit a curb, I highly doubt they're replacing your wheel. Yeah, they can fix the hoop, but at what cost? Might as well buy another wheel (changing backspacing is another story, but you should measure that **** before you put them on)

I dunno, just my simple opinion
