looks like winter is done , this was the latest ,
the primary pump in the atr double pumper in the 86GN acted up last week before heading out to the Sicklerville meeting , odd because the pumps have maybe 200 miles on them and 1 day at the track
i had test switches under the hood and flipped them on and the pump came on after the secondary was running
so saturday I replaced all the factory fuel wiring with new relays in the trunk direct fed off the trunk mounted battery and triggered directly from the xfi , the secondary is also now digitally controlled
no more 27yr old wiring ,unsealed factory fuel relay , ignition switched relay power and no block ground to cause failures,
also eliminated the hobbs switched secondary pump and the two hotwire kits coming off the alternator .
and all seemed to work fine ..until yesterday
the primary pump wouldnt come on , swapped the pump feed wires and the secondary pump runs .. its not the relays or the triggers .. time to drop the tank
this could have been bad but i did have enough pump to run the times with only one of those 340lph pumps provided it was healthy , heres what i found ..
