what to do with this cam bearing

This is the Dura-Bond "oil control" front bearing for 14-bolt pan (no groove in block). As you can just make out (click on thumbnails for full-size), apparently while forming one of the edges, some tiny divots were ploughed into it. What would you do? I figure if I send it back I'll just get another similar.

At least it was cheap.

Hit it w/ some fine paper, clean it, check it for fit on the cam, and run it...........

I agree with chuck on this...... The bigger issue is getting all the bearings in straight and true so that the cam spins freely when you are done.

I agree that I would use it. But I'm an impatient man so I modify things and correct things myself. But if you feel more comfortable sending it back then do that.

Gee, thanks for the encouragements! I was thinking along those lines.

It'll be a while before I run it, though. I'm buried under a pile with it.

Meanwhile, when I do monkey with it, I've thought about using a razor saw to put a small groove in the back to spray oil on the timing chain. Sort of like the Clevite for 20-bolt blocks, but just on the outer side of the oiling groove.

Thinking about it, maybe a small triangular file would be better than a razor saw. Or not doing it at all.
