The block has been 0-ringed and I'm debating whether to use an 0-ring gasket or just use a regular gasket as a failsafe in case of detonation. My thoughts are better to blow a gasket than run over the crank. I do have billet mains and studs, RJC girdle, JEs. If I do use an 0-ring gasket, which is the preferred? If I don't go with the 0-ring, which is preferred?
