I just opened my used speedpro and the wideband has a dent in it and it looks as though it has been bead blasted.... Will this be OK and is there any procedure to test this??

There's really nothing you can do other than plug it in, cross your fingers, and see if it works. I personally would NEVER recommend cleaning an O2 sensor with a bead blaster or any chemicals. The fact that there is visible damage on the sensor is a bit discouraging to me. It's a fairly delicate piece of equipment.

In a good running engine, an O2 sensor will keep itself clean. If you are dead rich a lot or burn a lot of oil, the sensor will appear fouled and this will decrease the life expectency of the sensor. One of these two things was probably true of the last car your system was installed in and that's why it was "cleaned."
