Valve spring?

I am replacing stock spring with comp 980s.do i reuse the stock scert or do i use a embreller seel. I need a 25 thousands shim.to have a total height of 1.680 to 1.700.any info would be great.

Are you asking if you should use a valve stem seal other than the factory seal?

Thanks someone from the board helped me.p.s.the stock skirts doent fit the 980 springs so u cant use them. Thanks for the replys
