Turn signal stalk replacement

I have searched and could not find any instructions on how to replace the turning signal stalk on my gn. Can anyone tell me how to do this or point me in the right direction?

how about if i cut the original stalk wire and pulled it before taping the new one..lol im an ass i should kick myself in the face..any suggestions before i destroy my steering column?

Try fishing a long stiff wire. Coat hanger or piano wire.
