Turbo Rebuilds

Anybody out there take a shot at rebuilding a turbo? I noticed that rebuild kits can be had for less than $30.00.Most shops around me are charging $300.00 to do it.Is the labor really worth that much?Doesn't look like there's much to the kit.

If you don't mind me asking,
where did you find a rebuild kit for $30?
I have a spare turbo I'd like to try to rebuild myself.
If I run into problems there's a guy here in town who knows his way around turbo's.

You were right.Complete rebuild kit for our turbos runs $110.00.I think the first guy that mailed me was just trying to keep me interested.He must have thought that I only wanted the O-rings.Oh Well,might still get one,I really want to try this......
