I recently found the parasitic drain in my car, the trunk light was staying on removed the bulb in order to save the battery.

Does anyone know where the trunk light switch is located ?

Actually - I thought of this a while back and It's a mercury level switch if I am not mistaken as part of the socket assembly.
(I think)

It is built inside the socket you are holding in your hand....
Put the bulb back in, ground the bracket with a wire attached
to it, and tilt the socket around and see if it goes on and off.

I would bet Uncle Fester could get it to light! He could have tried putting it in his mouth!

Got the same problem in that my light does not work - it's grounded with a fresh bulb and will not turn on, possible solutions???

There is a metal capsule inside at the base of the socket which is the mercury switch. Very rare for that switch to fail unless damaged.
