Translator Gen II install ?s

So i've read thru the instructions and understand them, except how to make the connections.

Are they all cut and splice? The thought of doing that makes me sick...

Where are people mounting these things at?

I just installed the maftPro and it is splice useing sodder or they give u the piggy back connectors if you dont want to cut the wires( but i dont trust them).
