Trans pump ?

My pump whines when I put it in gear, and start out from a stop sign, or light.
It goes away after reaching a cruizing speed. the fluid looks good, and doesn't smell burnt. It shifts good. is it anything to worry about? It is a built trans, with all the hardened parts.
