It was likely taken apart after the botched timing chain rtv incident which likely caused a rod knock. So they changed bearings trying to fix it not realizing that the rtv in the crank was the problem
Absolutely. I've got pics somewhere of the abrasive disk remnants in a pan also as well as the bearing inserts. It may be a while before finding those pics though
I wonder how many tubes of rtv got pumped in? I use it once in a while but sparingly. The 85 I brought home is built out of orange rtv. Even the trans pan. Amazing it runs.
