The bolts that hold the tranny to the engine block also hold this sheild.

TCI does not indicate that it was made for a specific transmission, only that it was a buick/olds/pontiac bolt pattern. I purchased it for a 200R4, but have decided to go with a TH400 and the CSI sheild.

That will fit any transmission that has only the Buick, Olds, Pontiac bolt pattern. Most, but not all, of the 2004R cases have the BOP/Chevy combo pattern which would use TCI flexplate shield 940075.
