TCC Solenoid - 4 wire vs. 3 ?????

I just pulled the pan off of my new tranny I bought, which was a CR-F....anyway, I have been having problems with the TCC solenoid staying locked up when slowing to a stop. What I found when I pulled the cover was that instead of a 4 wire solenoid, it only has 3 wires. I am assuming this is an issue. I still have my BRF and I pulled the cover on it and it has 4 wires, 2 of which go to different pressure switches. Again, the new tranny TCC solenoid only has 3 wires. I am assuming this is my issue, any input from anyone....here are the pics. The first is the CRF with just 3 wires, 1 black and 2 whites, the 2nd is the BRF with 4 wires:

The BRF trans has a 3rd & 4th gear pressure switch. Most all other trans only have the 4th gear pressure switch. That's what your 4th wire is for. 2 black/red for the TCC solenoid, 1 white for 3rd gear pressure switch & 1 white for 4th switch.

Did you check the operation of the solenoid? When 12v. is applied, the
solenoid should block the flow of fluid (or air) through it. When no voltage is present, the fluid (or air) should be released.

Sounds like a sticky TCC solenoid. You have to determine if it's electrical or mechanical. Check the voltage on pin "F" of your ALDL to see if you have voltage there when you apply the brakes.

Mine had a black/red for the solenoid, 1 white and then 1 blue. But yes, the other 2 went to pressure switches like you said.......
