T-link says I'm never in 4th, why?

Using T-link to tune my car, and I noticed that it never says I'm in 4th gear. If I'm in 4th it just shows 3rd gear. It always tells me when my TCC is on or off, but never shows 4th gear, even when I manually shift it. Why wouldn't T-link show 4th gear?

It's probably one of the following:
- wiring at the side of the trans loose
- wiring inside the trans loose
- Filter pressed up against the contact on the 4th gear switch (it's on the bottom of the VB and if you put the filter in on the wrong side of the "clip", it'll do this
