Does anyone know where exactly this piece goes in the steering column ?

It is on the left bottom near the cruise Control and left turn signal.

Any help pictures or diagrams would be apreciated.

Also there is one tiny small spring that came out not sure where that goes haha.

That is the ignition switch actuator rack. Here is a link that will help you see where it goes and help to reinstall it along with tightening up the steering column if you have that problem also.

Just scroll down to you see the exploded view of the upper section of the steering column, he just calls it the ignition rack when referring to it.

yes its part of the ignition switch rack. the actuator as some call it. ill see if I have an illustration somewhere

Lots of little bits in there that all have to go together when re-installed. When you have the diagram and know where it all goes, do yourself a favor and goop the bits with a little grease. Besides making everything move smoothly, it helps it all stick together when re-installing.

BTW, if you're already in there you might look at the 4 torx that come loose on these wheels. If they're tight, fine. If the wheel is a bit loose, might as well get back there and tighten it all up. No use in opening everything up a second time.
