stay-down license plate/fuel doors....

These stay down fuel/license plate doors that you guys may be interested in, are the same ones that came OE on the 82 - 92 Chevy Camaro/Z-28 & IROC Z-28's and Pontiac Firebird/Formula & Trans Am's.
These are readily available from any salvage/junk yard for just a couple of dollars.
They are a direct bolt-on with NO modifications needed.

youll be looking a long time for a staydown door on a firebird,
there arent any drop down liscense plates on 82-92 firebirds
on both models the fuel door is on the quarterpanel

only camaros use the drop down plate for access to the hatch key because the plate is situated between the tail lamps , on birds the hatch key is incorporated into the tail lamp panel

i was going to buy one, as it's gotten quite annoying filling up holding the license plate thing down with my foot and getting it to stay right with the gas filler in there

ive got like 6 thirdgen parts cars laying around that i thought would be mostly useless to me with the GN

I've gotten a few off of late model Caprices and Roadmasters. They bolt right on, and they are easy to find.

Save yourself a trip to the junkyard, and for those of you who never go, don't fret, you probably won't find one anyway and if you do, you're at the mercy of the a$$hole collecting the money as to how much your purchase will be. But all, is not lost......
