ST300 Governor mod?

Long story made short.... On a ST300 2 speed, since there appears to be no manual valve body "kit" available, can the governor be modified to provide pressure without it spinning? Looks identical to a Th350 governor... Weld the weights out? GB

Contact one of the tranny guys and I'm sure one of them can answer this for you. Since it's a modified copy of the powerglide you might want to see what has been done to it.

In case anybody's interested...Yes, by welding the governor weights in the "outboard" position, the trans becomes full manual without the governor itself spinning. Tested with a few 11.6 passes... GB
