Dumb question though... Is there any concern about weakening the back half of the car with it notched that hard and no cage or rollbar ?

I though I remembered seeing pics of a GN with wrinkled 1/4's as a result of a hard frame notch and no rear support ?

That's pretty much exactly what I'd like to do to mine eventually... but I'd probably throw a cage or bar in the car too at the same time.

If ya don't mind me asking... Approx how much $$$ did a job like that cost you ? (PM me if you prefer):cool:

I had the same concern so they installed a bar from one side of the frame to the other. The car is actually much more structually sound now then it was before. I don't have a good pic of it yet but you can see it here... I believe the price was around $1500. There is a wait tho. Worth the wait tho I think.

I was going to have a company do the same thing to mine so I can lower it as far as possible but I think the notch for the hinge may hit the tire when lowered with my size tires.. :frown:

Yeah that sounds like a real "street car" :rolleyes: :eek:. Looks good, just by the list of parts you have alot of money into it, not to mention the time it takes to install it all.

The car looks great and I'm glad you decided to take a 16K mile car and work the balls off of it!!!!! :biggrin::cool:. Keep up the good work

Looks great! I am sold on the plan to mini tub the Cutlass now. My bro is going to mini tub his GN this winter, maybe next winter he'll do mine. You know, let him practice on his car first.;)

Very nice job. I love the dark blue. Nice car. I am going to do a full notch with a 325/50 (maybe a 315/60 if I get a brake and looser converter) I like the clean tucked look. This thread is going into my favorites for sure. This is what I like to see. If you are going to cut them up, do it in a clean way with a purpose. You are motivating me.
