i am working on 85 gn with hybrid 87 swap. swap includes stock exhaust manifold for 85. 85 turbo location but uses intake and turbo from 87 and front mount intercooler. problem i have is car smokes at idle. seems to bee find driving car even under full boost 17 pounds for now. engine is from jasper engines with 3500 miles on it. i have had engine out of car. engine got heads checked out guides are still tight got new valve seals and valve grind. cometic mls head gaskets . 212/206 comp hydro roller all comp beehive springs comp pushrods. i removed crank and measured rods and crank and checked all bearings all in good shape and in spec. i did NOT remove pistons from cylinders. cross hatch in cylinders looked new with no signs of wear or scratches. car is running and engine looks good but smokes at idle soon as i started adding boost. i have compression tested it 145-150 #s in all cylinders. then i did a leak down test resulting in 9-12%in all cylinders. i have remove pvc vale and still smokes. pvc is now re installed. i do get oil dripping out of driver side breather but just couple drips. all plugs are off colored white with no residue at all. if any one has any ideas or a good place to take it to please help. i am located near cleveland ohio will post pictures to better describe what i am working on. thanks brandon
