When using a smc kit should you use methanol or denatured alcohol? What is the difference between the two? and will the methanol corrode the smc pump.
What about Razor's Kit? Should you use methanol or denatured alcohol?

The newer SMC may be ok to use methanol. You'll need to contact Steve at SMC and confirm. Denatured was the norm with the older in-tank pump style systems.
On mine you can run either.
Methanol is more corrossive to items soaked in it.
Thanks for the reply. My buddy is using the smc kit with methanol and I heard it wasn't made for meth and was just looking out for him. So I guess he should start using alcohol.

The methanol that he has in the red 5 gallon jug I have already mixed with Klotz lube (1 ounce per gallon) and is safe to use with the pump he has. He also has a quart of Klotz lube for future use. He will not be able to run the same boost on that car with the chip that is in it and denatured.
