runs out of rpm

Ok , here I go again. When running my car through the gears my rpm runs up to 3750-3800 and stops climbingat full throttle its like it has a throttle stop then it just shoots to 5000rpm and shifts.It also falls off at the second to third shift. Wondering if this could be symtom of valve springs or possible fuel pressure. It doesnt knock or make any strange sound just falls off. Help! Sounds like fuel to me. You will have to rig a pressure gauge so you can see it while driving and see if the fuell press. rises with boost

Could be fuel, could be torque convertor locking up, then releasing perhaps.

Had a very similar problem on my 87, chased it down to plug wires. Taylors only 5 yrs old, but been pulled off enough times to hurt something, even being careful. Put on a set from Red, they fit and work perfectly.
