Runs like crap after cam swap

Just did a cam and lifters, got the car together and it idles great. Drives like new at less than 1/3 throttle. Scantool shows no codes. Apply any load to it all, and it sputters and even backfires. Fuel psi is 42lbs line off, cam sensor was set per procedure on gnttype.org - and I have moved it around to try "advancing" it, no luck.

Everything appears normal on turbolink. Any ideas?

Did you do the proper break in for the new cam and lifters? If it's a non roller did you use the correct additive in the oil for proper lubrication? Just a thought.

Sounds like a intake leak.

Run through all the cooler couplings make sure one did not pop off. Check the maf pipe as well.

Cam break in was done, ZDDP added to oil.
