Rotate or no rotate

Hey guys was replacing my valve springs and noticed there was no rotators on bottom of valve springs. Is this normal or should i install some. Thanks

If there are no locators, then yes you need to get some the springs should not be sitting on the head itself.

Since you state no info about your engine build, and "assuming" you have iron heads, it should be fine w/o shims or locators.

We have done hundreds of irons heads w/o them, and never seen any issues.

Im sorry it is iron heads with comp 980 springs.
