Is there a suitable replacement for the original oil pressure sending units for a GNX (GM # 12332799 or Stewart Warner SWW-353B-F) that may or may not resemble the original? Is there a way to cross-reference and see what else may work? I've seen a few Stewart Warner D-353-AM and D-353-Z for sale that look the same externally, but I'm not sure if they would work or what the differences are? Anyone know? One appears to be for marine applications and the other mostly for older Shelby Mustangs. What does everyone use when they do an aftermarket dash install or install an oil pressure gauge in a turbo car with idiot light only?

Are you talking about the bell shape unit. I was able to get a replacement from G-body. My bill does not show a part number, but it did come with SW instructions. It worked great.

The web site does not show it. I had to call them. It was August 2011. $44.95 was the cost.

The GNX oil pressure gauge goes from 0-100 PSI some of other pressure senders are only for 80 PSI. The gauge is also a 90 degree sweep from 0-100 this also make a difference in the pressure sender. The sender that I believe will work the best for replacing the original if you can not fine one is a S&W 279 B-F
