Any advice on the easiest/ hassel free way to remove stock valve covers?? I hear that the passanger side cover can be a PIA.

And what are their torque specs when bolting them back on??

Thanks

I had harder time on the driver's side (because of the electrical wiring). I hand tighten them lightly and use Felpro rubber valve cover gasket.

Passinger side is simple :), i just removed everything out of the way, and it came off in a bout 1/2 hour or so.

You can find torque specs on gnttype.org.

I fought the pass side cover and fought and fought...couldn't get it off. Tried to take the ac shield off but couldn't get to one of the teeny tiny screws that held it on, barred the engine until the #6 lever was clear, barred it more, barred it again, etc. Went to bed a frustrated guy...a familiar feeling...lol

Next day I walked out to the car...stood directly in front of it, lifted the cover a bit, rotated it clockwise as far as it would go and off it came!!

The funny thing is...I had been on this site asking for real time help...one guy laughingly said walk away and try again in the morning...boy was he right!

Regards, Bob
