Remanf Upper Control Arms

Has anyone ever used the rebuilt upper control arms for the front end that come complete with new bushings/cross shafts/ball joints? Any issues with fitment and quality?

The reason I ask, is I was about to replace the upper bushings and ball joints with MOOG replacments, but a friend of mine who works at a local parts store can get me the complete assembly for just a few bucks more. So I figured it would probably be best just replace my rusty old ones with some refurbished units.

i'd bet that the reman units don't come with the good Moog parts, and that they don't spend a lot of time inspecting them to make sure they areon't bent or cracked.
i've never heard of reman upper arms for these cars- but Dorman does sell brand new assemblies. i don't know whatk ind of quality they are, tho.

The manufacturer, Dorman, that you referred to are the units I was talking about. I just assumed that that were "rebuilt" assemblies. I wonder what brand of components they use on these units.
