Rear tray material

Hello all,

Doing some interior work and wondering what type of material originally covered the rear tray.

I've got a an '87 GN.

i've looked at our vendors websites and haven't found just the material...found a couple offer the tray with a material. My tray is in good condition, just needs to be recovered.

Not sure if this helps or not but I just went out and compared mines to a roll of sub box carpet I have and based off the material not color (mines is black) it seems to be very similar. If your not going for concourse restoration I doubt anyone would be able to tell the difference if you can match the color up. At first I though t maybe door panel carpet was the same but it seems thicker.

Some short pile carpet would be close enough. If you want shorter than that, a couple layers of felt from Hobby Lobby would do it.

Thanks, that's a good idea. Maybe tomorrow I will stop by my local Hobby Lobby/Joanns store and see what they have.
