My rear deforst window is not working. When I turn the switch on the on light illuminates indicating there is power but the window wont defrost. Has anyone experienced this problem?

Check the wire on the drivers side of the car at the back window area, you should be able to measure 12 volts on the purple wire that attaches to the window defroster tab with a meter when the switch is ON.

Also make sure the ground wire is connected on the pass. side too.

Both of my connections have corroded - anyone know can the be soldered back with the window in place?

I soldered mine on the GN, wasn't that easy, and it's easy to melt things you don't want melted back there too.

Pre-tin the wire end first, and make sure the iron you use is hot enough to melt the window blob first as a test.

After that it's easier to mate them.

Hasn't come off since I did it right in about 3 years, broke off the first try without doing the prep. pre-tin work.
