Question about linelocks, please help!

Hey, this is my first time posting here and i had a question. I just bought my '87 GN this weekend and found out that it has line locks. And by never owning any kind of RWD or any car that has power, I have never used line locks. So i was just wondering how to use them properly. Pushing the button, holding the button, im not quite sure how. Please explain how I do this, thanks alot!

Depends how it hooked up.

Try this:

Push the brakes and hold.

Push the button and hold.

Let off the brakes, but still hold the button.

Push the accellerator and see if car moves and or tires spin.

If tire spin congratulations, the line lock works.

If the car moves, repeat but push the brake harder next time.

If it still doesn't work, push the button then push the brake and the gas at the same time, see if the tires spin easily = dumb way to hook up line lock.

well, when i tried it the first time, it worked, but it doesnt work anymore, it would work once every like 10 tries but now it doesnt work at all anymore. i think there might be a short or something became disconnected. Any tips to find out whats wrong or fix it? thanks!

What make is it? , These coils some times "open"(burnout) from being on to long.

check the fuse first. Let us know what you find out.
