Question about 9/10 sec. street GNs in cali... want a challenger?

My friend Chris, that lives near San Fran and Sacramento (Fairfield to be exact) has a '97 Supra Turbo, bored and stroked to 3.4L with a T-88H turbo and a two-stage nitrous system. His best time was a 9.7@153mph. He wants a challenge, on the street or the strip, and it would make my day/week/month/year/life to hear about a GN stomping him ^_^

If anyone around there would like to play with a 9 second supra, let me know.
 
Chris normally is in the 8.5 @ 162 range.
Last time out he had a bad set of slicks.
I can not speek for him, but I have not seen him
turn down many races at the track.
His motor makes over 1600 hp, he will not race that
on the street. That is what he has the z06 and other t type for :D

there is also a purple dodge charger around sacramento with a twin turbo/fast efi 451 big block.last time i heard he was going pretty easy low 8's,and there's video on moparts.com of him driving it on the street:D.

No 9 sec time slips yet.

The new manifold is on and now the car does not idle well and all that good stuff. So I am sorting that out.

All of a sudden the thing is running 10:1 at idle!!

It will be ready for Vegas in any case.


Probably will go to a dyno around here with it in a couple of weeks and get it dialed in.
 
If this race happens a date/time needs to be posted. This would be a one sided race in Chris' favor..... but very cool to watch.

Hell.... if I ever get my engine out of the machine shop and my upgrades on it that are just sitting here..... I'll run him.

I can't find a single post or ET about this guy Chris in Fairfield.
I know 5 supra owners ranging from BPU to single turbo versions all within a 40 mile radius, they are interested in running him also.

That is the most insane grand national I've ever seen. 1076 horsepower... but what kind of TORQUE??
 
no the insane part is 160 mph on the stock brakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
How much torque does that motor produce? and how much does it destroy pavement with at the ground?
 
i was there the day chris had his car dynoed. all i can say is, your buddy's supra better be FASSSST!

also, watch out for brian burnside. 8.5 somthings on single turbo stage II and it looks STOCK!
