I need some help. I've got an 87' GN that I'm planning on upgrading my DP to a 3" along with a 3" cat. Question is this I've already got a 2.5 Atr Exhaust system will the cat and Y pipe match up since there different sizes with out causing a leak?

Should be ok as long as the flanges line up. If anything you are going to reduce flow a little bit.
Come to think of it, you can buy a cat with a 3'' opening on one side and a 2.5'' on the other side. If you didnt buy one yet, you may want to look into something like that.
Should be fine, all the flanges are the same. If it's a dual system the opening at the front of the Y-pipe should at least be a little bigger than 2.5" and you won't reduce the flow that much.
